    yeah I was told by the nurse when C got his vacces to be supercareful when washing hands for at least a week to ten days after changing a nappy..it will come out in their pooh. On the nappy front it is advisable to hot wash (60degrees or so) and chuck some canestan or dettol rinse in the nappy wash for this period of time...I always did for acouple of weeks after to be super sure th bugs were gone.....

    You can also rinse with vinegar and tea tree oil to kill bugs.

    Yeah, do a hot wash next time. i asked about it in the nappy discussion thread last year sometime

    Yep, about 80%, so in line with bleach and other cleaning agents. A double rinse during this time is most probably advisable.

    Just makes me think about the environmental effect of disposables even more. Can you image all these virus poo nappies in land fill, being rained on and the water running off into the water tables. Ew! At least with cloth, it's going into the toilet, where it belongs and can be treated.

    tea tree is an antiviral but I'd be using that and hot water. Rotavirus is one of those ..umm...'hardier' bugs
