Is your bub bottle or breast fed? As i bottle feed and our now 11month old did go through a similar stage waking every 2-3 hours overnight at 9 mths. I just used to feed him everytime he would wake (and check the nappie etc ) i would shove a bottle in is mouth in bed with him and he would instantly fall asleep. I noticed half the time he didnt drink half the bottle but it worked and he grew out of it! He is 11 mths old and is a big boy and loves his food morning noon and night but still has bottle for bed at 6 30pm another at 12 or 1 am and one at 4am then he wants up and play at 7 30am..... then he is down again for the morning nap at 9-10am for 1-1/2-2 hrs.....
