I hope it is normal so my DS2 does it. He is only 2 months old but he seems to do it for fun as I get a very gummy smile afterwards. I make sure I keep his chin dry so it doesn't get inflamed or sore but other than that, I just let him do it.

Nothing like a cuddle from DD after a hard day's work!

My DD sucked on her hands at 3mths, then moved to sucking the bottom lip from 4mths and has done it ever since.

Seems like its an alternative to the dummy? because she soothes herself to sleep by sucking her lower lip.

    Hi,

My DS is almost 9 months old and still sucks his bottom lip, has been doing it for months. All very cute and normal I think!

My 7 month old DD does this too. I think she looks like a cabbage patch doll when she does it. It's so cute.
