nope, All of mine have healed the same, My first 2 kids the clamp stayed on till it fell off, the younger 2 I had it taken off as early as possible because my kids cords take at least 10 days to come off & its a PITB!

Wow, you got it easy, my DD1's was on for 3 and a half weeks! She had the clamp removed from her almost immediately as she had a drip through her belly button.
DD2 had the clamp stay on until it all fell off together, it didn't take as long as her sisters though.

The clamp is a PITA I agree!! With DD1 they never left the clamp on but with DD2 they did and it took longer to fall off. It was so annoying, I was always worried about hurting it. Next time I'm definitely telling them to take it off!
