Well done little man. It can be so stressful when you have outside influences telling you what your baby 'should' be doing. I haven't bothered with MCHN or the doc for DD2. Too many bad experiences. Good on you for staying calm and trusting your instincts
thanks, only take kids to doctors for when their sick or their needles, i dont go to the health nurse either, i was told off for giving DS 1 food before 6 months! but when his bottles were not filling him, i knew he was still hungry.
my little boy, he did rolling and other things "on time" and for him rolling was fast! i've always said you cant rush kids into doing things, need to take things when they want to do them, we did encourage him thou, by clapping each time he was doing something good, or new first he was army crawling then within a week normal crawling.
it can be horrible when outsiders tell you something might be wrong, it would upset me, but he's 100% normal he just felt like giving people something to talk about lol! now its getting him to eat lumps and finger food, i have him on very thick puree food, but the teenyest lump and he knows, hes a clever boy!
he also proved me wrong, i had him for dinner very thick food (turnt the bowl upside down and it stayed put) and their were teeny tiny lumps from the mince and he ate it! well i am so happy he is taking small steps forwards, its better than nothing. next step getting him to feed himself well give it a go anyway, he loves being fed by others but would like him to give it a try might make him abit more confident with eating too. i know ds1 got more confidence from doing things himself.
