Ange, I would love to sometime, if that's okay. I feel a bit weird borrowing something from you ATM though !!!! As long as you know where it is The whole vacc thing is something that's been doing my head in for awhile, so it's great to read his stuff, it really works in with our philosophy.

Glad you're laughing about it hun!!! I was a bit worried later on my post was a bit insensitive. No dramas, don't kill yourself trying to find it. If it does turn up though I'd love to have a read. I'd buy it, but I've just ordered three parenting-type books () so I think I'd better give the cc a rest.

    Hi
I read something recently about the whooping cough vaccine also being linked to autism (not just the MMR).
If you google "Dr. Mary Megson DTP vaccine" you should find the research she has done on this. In particular she says it is the Pertussis (whooping cough) part of the DTP vaccine that causes problems.
On the subject of homeopathic immunisation - I recently immunised our whole family for whooping cough using homeopathy. The homeopath said it can be given from birth whereas the regular vaccine is given at 2 months.

My GP told me the other day that the whooping cough vaccine is only 70% effective and actually neds to be redone for older people as it wears off.
I had whooping cough 2 years ago even though I am vaccinated.

As far as I know it wears off after about 10 years. So if vacced as a baby its usually worn off by adulthood.

I am so glad I found this thread.

DD 8 months is not immunised. Recently we started going to a Homeopath and I hoped to get DD homeopathically immunised but she told me we were too late and we should just go with the Constitutional, whatever that means.

But, after arguing with DH YET AGAIN about the no immunisation situation, and with the Whooping Cough hoopla, I am contemplating getting the Whooping Cough only vaccine, if it is available.

I WILL be doing my research before giving though.

I just recently went through this where i was bullied by a GP to get Orson vaccinated. My only concern was the whooping cough. Well needless to say i got him jabbed and i feel absolutely rotten about it because its not what i wanted. I'm going to seek out the homeopathic option soon and im staying away from the GP!
