    Another suggestion is just to push his legs so his knees press into his tummy. Not hard but definitely lift his bottom off the ground a few centimetres.

    Also firmly rubbing his tummy from chest down to pelvis also worked for us.

    INFANT's FRIEND! It is really effective and every baby I've seen have it LOVES the taste - get it from chemist about $9 for the bottle.

    Fennel tea!! If you are breastfeeding that is. We have been using infants friend for a while (works quite well) but while on holiday in the Netherlands our bottle broke and we lost it all. So we tried the Dutch remedy which is fennel tea (a cup a day for me); works a treat for us, bubby is a lot more settled and happier! See if you can get hold of it, I can't get it in our country town, so my mum sends it over.... HTH
