DS is 17 months old and was at a pead appt follow up for something else and she was asking qns about his speech, interaction, walking etc So a full developmental evaluation. In most things he was fine (does hope he is walking soon) but she was a bit concerned that he doesnt really say any words, he says what sounds like "mum" and "dad" but not on a regular basis and not specificly to us when he wants us. He babbles and screatches lots which I thought was normal.

She wants us to have a hearing test (he didnt get one at birth as hospital did not do them then)

SO what I want to know is how many words does or did your child say at this age??
