Question C'link payments & baby bonus

Can someone tell me about how long it takes after forms are handed in for these to start being paid?
I was under the impression of 14 - 21 days. Pretty sure thats what it was last time, but a friend who had a bub 4 months ago thinks she started getting paid with in a week or so.
Things are a tad tight atm, so it'd be handy to know. One week would be great, lol, but I'm expecting 2 - 4 weeks.
    TIA

Took about 1-2 weeks after I posted the papers in. I think it's quicker the second (or third or fourth lol) time around because they are just adding to your file

standard is 3 weeks - depending on how many claims are received at your local processing centre at the time you are claiming

apparently u can lodge the claim 3 months b4 bubs is expected now and this came into effect from 1st october 2010..U can do it online and when bub is born, u just provide proof of birth and it comes in a few days after...i submitted my claim the other day and im having bubs on 25th oct....look into it..saves the hassle of all the paperwork later

Really? Interesting. You know anything about it BG?
Since I'm bored & not in labour at 5.30am, I'll go look. Pretty sure it's still take up to 21 days to process though, like I think all c'link payments, but sounds alot easier.

i was off sick the day i was supposed to have the training so i'm waiting to go back and do it later. but i can look into it today - i believe you can claim for bby or ppl up to 3 months before edd now - not sure how that will apply for second or subsequent births though
