We don't have any health insurance atm, but I'm wondering whether extra's is worth getting or not. DH wears glasses, but his prescription hasn't changed in 4years so he's still on his first pair of glasses and he gets one 3month prescription of contacts per year to last the hockey season. Otherwise, the only other thing I can see us using it for is dental. I'm well overdue a visit and know I need at least one filling but I keep putting it off (which I know is bad, but I hate the dentist )
I know that normally there's still some sort of gap to pay, so is it financially worth paying the premiums and the gap, or just paying the bill out of our own bank account iykwim. I'm guessing if its a big bill, then the gap would look better, but last time I had a filling, it was only around $200 which to me, doesn't seem to be worth paying x amount of dollars every month to not have to pay part of that bill.
