see that's how it should be IMO... I know i'm partly to blame here but when i say it's bad, it's REALLY bad! Almost $1500 in 129days It has to stop. I'm putting my foot down and i'm not going to cave this time...

We've probably had it twice in the last six months, though we plan a 'lazy' dinner once a week which is usually an omelette or toasted sandwich or something similar for when we know we won't want to cook

I write this as i eat pizza We are terrible. We own a pub and when we are not at work, the last thing we can be bothered doing is cooking. Me especially as i work in the kitchen. pizza for tea tonight, gillies pie for lunch today when we were out. No breaky as we slept in. Yesterday we had tea about 11:30pm, it was kfc, as that was the opportunity we had for someone to organise as we had a function at the pub. For us, a home cooked meal is a luxury.

ETA: We sound like we are big fatties! But we arent, not saying me & DH couldnt lose a few kgs, but teenage kids havent got an ounce of fat on them!

    We budget $17/week for takeout - fish & chips. That's what .... around $400/week

I do takeout lunches at $6/pop 2-3 times / week but that's now stopped as we are taking out a new house loan.

I can't remember the last time we ate takeaway BUT the girls and I eat lunch out quite a lot - probably 2-3 times per week. I reckon we spend about $150 a month doing that. Having said that, we then have smaller dinners so it probably balances out.

Just for dinners, we have cut back to maybe once a fortnight to once a month, depending on what we are doing. I have tried to make a conscious effort to cook or plan what we are having for dinner. I found if I had planned my meals, we didn't get take away plus we really are trying to eat healthy foods. I do buy a BBQ chook now and then and I do buy take away coffee a few times a week. I don't know what to suggest to stop your DH eating it. If money isn't a factor for him then perhaps health benefits??
