Question Which internet plan do you have?

I need to change my internet plan as my current one is almost finished.

At the moment i pay $84.95 for 6GB which is way too much. That's with Bigpond. I could easily have a 2GB or 3GB plan since i use internet more on my phone than laptop. I dont have a landline. I've been researching but the more i look, the more confused i get!

We get 120G for $49... you are def on the wrong plan!
We don't use it all but means we can download what we want and not worry about the limit.
Ours is an Optus broadband plan

Can you get TPG down your way? We have been with them for a few years now and their plans are excellent......the most you should need to pay for such a small download limit is about $29.95ish a month.

ETA: just realised you don't have a landline in which case you should look at the "naked DSL" plans with the various companies that offer them...it will save you heaps.

We are with TPG, on one of their unlimited plans (DF's choice there) for about $60 a month.

Oh and obviously i am with iprimus

I find iprimus are good. I ring them every 6 months or so and ask if they have better deals for me If you rang them they would go through the plans with you.. The customer service is good

and I just got a deal through my comp blink mob internet.. Maybe look into something like that

hun i'm with aussiebb locally down here - they can bundle home phone and internet (gives an extra discount on internet plan) - still HEAPS cheaper than what you're paying at the moment.

Madissun, google "tethering your iphone". You should be abel to drop the home internet completely and tether the iphone to your laptop and use your iphone to connect to the internet. I haven't tried it myself yet but a few of the guys at work tell me it is easy.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Anney- I've looked at that but was wondering how the whole internet security would still work?
