    Thumbs up Power bill brag!

Some people may not understand, but trust me, for us, this is brag worthy!

    Our latest CE bill is

    $407!!

    Our last one was $798!

Just goes to show how much sweating your ringer out with no air con & hanging clothes on clothes horses under your verandah is worth the effort!!

Coastal weather makes it sticky & rainy alll the time, so air con & dryers are soooo needed, but damn I'm proud of that!

Haven't had one that low since DD2 was a baby!!

    congratulations!!!
We have no air con so hoping our bills will be small here!

In wagga our power and gas bills were $900+ between me and my DH, that's it. Wagga prices were ridiculous, and it was 45 degrees for like 3 weeks...

    Holy cow well done!!!!

Wish I could tolerate sweating my ring out... But I can't... Love my aircon far too much (yes, we live on the coast of queensland too, VERY humid)

Nice work Clover - we've been a bit more energy savvy for the last few bills too, but I am still envious of your $407.

Our highest ever bill was just over $1300 - eeek
It was DS's first summer (6 months old) and I was home all the time on mat leave - I nearly died when I opened the envelope!! Needed a payment extension for that one!!! Lately we are around the $600 mark, not too bad considering we still use our air con a fair bit

    That's awesome Clover!!!

We got ours last week and it was $835. We checked it against our usage at this time last year and we did use less this year than last year though our bill has gone up by $150. Damn electricity rate rises.

Can I ask, how much do you pay per kW of electricity?

Well done! We also had a little "power bill victory" here. Our last one was a whopping $1100 and this one has come in at $680. Very happy with that!

Way to go! It's always a great feeling when your bills are so much less then last time.

Ha ha, don't forget thats with 2 adults, 4 kids, 2 fridges & a big hot water system that heats twice a day!
Now I know just how much my dryer used Haven't had air con for over 2 years.

I can also tell DH to suck my ...... next time he argues with me about leaving the TV on all night! I hate it with a passion!
(He doesn't know yet I recently set the timer on the new one to midnight )

I hate the humidity here & use the air con in the car. Add cloth nappies & rain at least 3 times a week during the warmer months & sometimes you have to use a dryer, but I've survived the past few months... JUST!!

I haven't had a bill under $600 in years. My highest was $1200 5 years ago when we tried to help some bludgers out. I'm actually still catching up from that on top of this $400.
Good to know I'm almost there though

JustMe - I'll have a look in the morning
