Retaliation shopping! Are you guilty of it?

I used to feel like it....but like you I would end up changing my mind. Grumbling all the way though

We don't do that. Like Ali, we have pocket money each month. If DH wants to spend $500, he has to spend less of his pocket money & save for it. And so do I. We get the same amount of pocket money each but I must admit, DH spend his mostly on himself where I spend it more on DS. But that's my choice. I don't need anything.

Yep i am guilty of that- DH spends a fair amount on rum a week... and if i see something i want i will often convince myself that its "less than a six pack" or something along those lines!! BUt i do however see the other side and if he goes crazy on something out of budget, then usually it means we are behind enough and as i organise the bills, i know it would be stupid of me to put us even further back by spending the same amount to just "be even" when its going to hurt us financially twice as bad in the long run.... til we are able to afford it.. then i MAY decide its time for some clothes shopping.....
