    Yep, and it's a massive relief to be away from there on maternity leave!

    Definitely keep ringing, if you don't have a dedicated manager it may get forgotten. It's a really simple thing though that they should able to do while you're on the phone.

    LOL. I've worked for 3 out of the 4 and it's pretty much the same everywhere. The last one I wasn't employed by the bank but by an outsourcing centre, the volume of work they pump through is amazing, but I just couldn't see where the long-term job satisfaction was. So I made the move to libraries - use the same skill sets, much nicer environment though, though probably not the high-end earning potential if you're ambitious. Funnily enoughmasses of those skills were totally transferable, even though everyone I knew in banking thought that was all they were qualified to do.

    Very true! I've been looking for something I could change to after mat leave and had people tell me it'll be too hard to find something I can do that pays well. The pay doesn't really matter though, if I can start enjoying what I do
