...had them try to speak to me like this yesterday. OB comes in: 'ok, we are going to do XYZ, ok?'....me: 'no, explain first what you are doing why you are doing it AND THEN i will decide if we are doing it'. thankfully after that (but ONLY after) did they change the way they spoke to me and actually asked for consent and actually began to explain things...pretty scary considering in my world that should be how it is done in the first place.
