Hello All, I had a baby Girl on the 4th of June. I was to have my baby on the 5th, but she was induced on the 4th instead. I know this is news a month in delay, but I just wanted to share it with you all the same. I went to hospital to be prep'd for the induction a day early. The nurse prep'd me at 7 pm and I was admitted to the ward. It was about 20 minutes later that I noticed the contractions starting very lightly. I had my partner, my 15yr daughter and my older sister with me. I took note of the contractions and found that they were coming a bit faster and slightly heavier. I didn't want to startle my sister so I just let my daughter know that things were starting. I told the nurse about what was happening and she kept an eye on me. I said to the nurse that I think the baby is going to be here before midnight. ( I was right in the end!) By 10:45pm the nurse took me up to the delivery suite and they broke my waters. 45 minutes later I had a baby Girl with the assistance of 30% gas and oxygen. My eldest daughter was with me and she was very brave. I got her to have the first hold of her sister and she got to cut the cord. I am so very proud that she was there for it all. Along with my partner and my sister. It was a very moving moment. I am so glad that the birth was quick and safe. I was in hospital for 2 days and then went home. We named her Jasmine.Lee. (Lee is the name after her big sister that was there to see her come into the world, her name is Lalita Leonie) My other child is Tameeka Kelly (5yrs), she is happy to be a big sister too. Thanks for reading.
