Thank you all sooo much for the best wishes girls, its such a lovely feeling to know that there is so much positive energy around my new little man!

Hugo came into the world at 2.35pm yesterday via c/s after a very long (34 hours) and intense labour. I'll be back to write up my birth story but let me tell you that I had the absolute best chance I could have had to get a VBAC if it was going to work. I stayed home with doula for 15 hours until pain was too much and thought I needed some gas & when I came to hossy, I negotiated to have intermittent monitoring (which ended up mostly being a handheld doppler) so had a really active birth (with heaps of access to bath & shower). Ob never once put me on the clock and told us that he had said a little prayer that morning to 'please God, let Winter get her VBAC' - how much more supportive can you get than that?! After 32 hours, I asked for epidural and was distressed and still only 4cm & meconium present so we opted for c/s with absolutely no regrets! I tried, Hugo tried, but it just wasn't going to happen for us.

Biggest hugest thanks to Gaby Targett - my fantastic doula - who absolutely kept me focused and calm during my labour. And my absolutely gorgeous DH who was my rock, my slave and my biggest cheer squad all through the long labour. I love you so much DH!

And feel free to PM me if you are in Perth and looking for a great Ob. He has limited people skills but he shines when it really matters.

Hugo is feeding like a champion too so while I might not be good at birthing babies, I do pretty well at feeding them, so I'll take my wins where I get them! I'm so in love! He is just the most perfect baby!

Oh Win, don't for a minute say you're no good at birthing babies! Whether you need little help or a lot, you still did it - what a huge effort!
I'm so very happy you felt well supported and cared for and glad to hear he's feeding well already.

Personally I think you're awesome at birthing babies Winter - just look at the two beautiful bubbas that you have birthed so glad you had such great support, stoked that Gaby was great, and think you did an amazing job
