Unfortunately I had to transfer at 10cms giving up my much dreamed of home water birth, but after a posterior presentation (face up) and an arm up - no urge to push just searing, insane contractions - the pain was too intense and I felt something wasnt right, so wanted to go in. 10lbs, 9oz..........Was a bit traumatic but will process with my midwife Tuesday.
Kelly don't be too hard on yourself, for transferring that is, having the combination of posterior, a 10 pound baby, AND an arm up!!! That's a superhuman effort! And a transfer is there for when it's needed, so you did the right thing. Hopefully that's all your little girl's teenage angst all out in one burst, giving you so much drama birthing her like that!!! Congratulations xoxox

I'm a little late here, but a big congratulations Kelly on the arrival of you sweet bubba girl. You did fantastic! The size difference compared to your other 2 must have been a bit of a shock.
I'm sorry to hear you missed out on your much wanted home waterbirth. I hope you've been able to debrief and make sense of it all with your MW and that you're well on the way to making peace with it.
