11 June 07 ~ A VERY unexpected birth happened this morning!!

Well, I never knew it would happen to someone I know!!!!

My partners cousin had a VERY unexpected birth this morning.

She had an ambulance take her to hospital as she was having very bad stomach cramps, they started to help her with the cramps then a while after the doctors and nurses had left the room she said to her mother she felt 'something come out'.....

Her mum looked under the covers and found a baby!!! Her waters broke just before the baby came, sort of happened all at once.

(My story has some gaps as I was told only 1 hour after it had happened from my MIL and she didnt even know the full story.)

We are in shock, 'happy shock' though

She is a big girl but it astounds us all that she never felt anything! She already has a 8yr old girl too!

The only bad thing about this is she has nothing, she always said she wouldnt have another baby so gave all her stuff away, so the family have frantically been going through baby stuff in our closets.

So I would like to make this birth announcement for our little 2nd cousin who has no name yet, welcome to the family!!!

    btw, its a little girl.

WOW!!! What a complete surprise that must be to her and all the family?? Wow! She was in labour and didn't even know... she had a baby in her belly and didn't even know??? I wonder how common that is? I have heard of it before. My mum's friends daughter was 7mths preg and only found out then and her belly wasn't big or anything and she went into labour and it was such a shock for them....
best wishes to her and her baby girl xx
looks like she will be doing some big shopping very soon!!!!!!!

Wow, that would be a surprise! I know of 2 cases where this has been - one did not look pregnant and still had AF during the pregnancy and she delivered a full term baby. the other one was a younger girl that did look pregnant and her family had suggested she get tested but she denied it and low and behold, she had a baby after getting some stomach cramps. That would be a shock and a half!

    Hi
Thanks everyone for the well wishes!

Mum and bubs is doing really well, I haven't been able to see them yet but dropped off some clothes and wraps at my MIL's.

Got a bit more of the story, apparently when she felt something strange 'down there' her mum found that the babies head had started to crown (or it was a very hairy hmmm hmmm hoo haaa.......LMAO!) thats what she said anyway!!................so the doctors were quickly called in and it was chaos from there, delivery and to the right side of the hospital (maternity ward). She came in at 6lbs 2.

    No name as yet.

Still can't believe this has happened!

I told my little girl, Maya, she's not the youngest in the family anymore, that was short lived

Christmas will be fun this year as my SIL has a 1yr old as well!

    cheers
