Congratulations sweeting this is the best news!!! Enjoy every minute of your beautiful Holly - she has found such a strong soul to nurture her in her journey!
Awww Contratulations Meredith!! I can't believe Upsy's here and has a name! It's wonderful. I can't wait to read Holly's birth story and more about Holly & you. Take care of you and your family. xoxo
I haven't on BB for a while, so this was a wonderful surprise to see. I'm very happy for you Meredith and Chris. Logan will be a wonderful big brother.
Congratulations Meredith. So happy to hear that you and bub are doing well. What a strong little girl you have! and beautiful photos... Do you think the nickname Upsy will stick? it's cute.
Congratulations Meredith & Chris on birthing your daughter Holly!
I cried happy tears reading your baby was Earthside - I feel honoured to look at your photos! She looks so healthy Meredith! I think she will surprise you and be out of special care before you know it.
Remembering also Holly's twin who is no doubt by her side guiding her through the last leg of her journey home.
I am sorry this will be fairly brief as my valuable sleeping time is ticking by every second ! Just had to pop in here to see all your beautiful messages... I am so, so touched by my "cyber" friends... you are all wonderful.
I am still in a bit of a surreal daze re Holly's arrival. I see her in the SCN every day and still can't believe she is ours.
Her birth was about as good as it gets especially given the induction. Will do a full birth story when I have more time but basically was over in 1hr 40mins and she just "flew" out. No issues for her at all straight after birth. In fact she cried once then just gazed around the room taking it all in.
She is one very special and tough little girl... Has been throughout this journey and continuing on now!
She had a set back with fairly marked jaundice and needing double lights but now this has settled she has suddenly taken off and doing much better than expected for her age and size. Sge's like the little dynamo in SCN.... breastfeeding like a champ and hopefully losing her feeding tube tomorrow!!
So far a very placid girl too ( unless she's not fed when she asks!!) - just feeds ,sleeps or gazes at the world calmly. Such a massive difference from DS who never stopped crying!. Guess she has caused us enough trouble already... its only fair she is such an angel!
I am exhausted to be honest and finding the seperation very challenging. Spending as much time as possible at the hospital and any time at home expressing, expressing, expressing. Have managed to hold the formulal Nazi's at bay and little Holly has only had breastmilk so far... hard work but worth it in my opinion.
At this stage, it is possible Holly may be home by the end of the week ( praying, praying!!) so will have some more time to give more of a story then
Thanyou all again soooooooooo much for the ongoing support. YOu girls have been the greatest!!
Meredith - you should be soooooo proud. Expressing is such hard work and you are doing a fabulous job to have managed to keep up with Holly and her ever increasing needs for feeds I am pleased to hear she is doing well and may soon be home.
Love to you all - you are in my thoughts often and it continues to make me smile that she is finally, safely here Now sleep woman!!!!! You've earned it!!!!! (says the one currently up when the little ones are asleep )
