Congrats BW, and welcome little Samuel! He sounds like he's doing so well, I hope he is out of SCN VERY soon, and right by your side. In the meantime, make the most of the rest you get while he's in there........you'll never get it again LOL! Seriously though, I hope his BSLs are better today, and you can have him in your room and cuddle him all day long

That is amazing news. What a wonderful Christmas gift for you and DH to have been blessed by your beautiful Samuel. I hope he is out of special care soon and I hope you are happy and healthy!
got another update from BW - Samuel's BSL's have levelled out nicely today, but he was, when she last messaged, still in the SCN. he has an NG tube in but they were planning on trying to BF at some point today. Mummy got some cuddles this morning, which has made her much happier
i have messaged her asking for contact details at the hospital so i can give her a call tonight and see how she's going. her SMS messages are fairly happy, and as someone who has received LOTS of BW messages, i can promise she's doing pretty well!
not long off the phone after a HUGE chin wag with BW (while my DH cooked dinner!) - she is sounding fantastic! Samuel is doing pretty well, still on NG tube, and using formula while BW expresses to try to bring her milk in. she is doin really well, and has been able to have skin to skin cuddles today while they had a go at BF. she described her labour as very hard and fast, going from around 5cm to pushing in a matter of only a few contractions, so is feeling sore, and has realised being "brave" and declining pain killers isn't smart tonight!
Thanks for the update BG. She certainly has done very well birthing her little man, she should be proud of what she has accomplished. I hope he's out of SC very soon, so she can establish b/f, and take him. Hopefully in time for Christmas

And little Samuel Angus - so long waiting in the waiting room to get down into mummy and daddy's arms, you just couldn't wait any longer would you honey? I don't blame you - welcome to the world. A scottish gift for my little S. Angus will be winging its way to you ASAP.
