Thank you so much everyone!! This was great to read!! I knew you were all thinking of me and all the advice and help I've gotten from everyone through pregnancy and for going for a VBAC helped so much, and I did it!!
I still can't believe I did it!! The whole way through I was sure I wasn't as far along as I was and it was going to get worse but I got there!! I am stronger than I thought I was and my body CAN do it! I tell you what 10 hrs of labour from the first contraction is a lot better than 35+ hrs that I had with DD1 though, lol. I got my way and had no continuous monitoring and no cannula even though she took 2hrs to push out. No drugs at all so I'm pretty pleased with myself right about now, lol.
My midwife and student midwife (the wonderful Sara) were AWESOME!! I never felt pressured or rushed and was so supported. They made me believe I could do it when I didn't think I could. And as for DH, omg he was a star!! Absolutely couldn't have done it without him. Kept me calm at home for as long as possible which I think made all the difference. Was only at hospital for 3.5hrs before she was born and 2 of that was pushing.
Ok ok I better save something for the Birth Story huh?? lol.
Ruby is just beautiful, and DD1 loves her, wants to touch and cuddle her all the time!! I am so glad I could give her a sister!! I can't wait to watch them grow up together.
Beautiful Amber, thank you so much for doing my BA and being so supportive and visiting us in hospital!!
Yay Heaven!! You sound so 'high' from your natural birth....all those amazing hormones running through your body and adrenaline after a natural, drug free birth is the best and you can't beat it.... I'm so glad you got to experience all that this time around!!!
Pushing for 2hrs is exhausting work huh? That's how long I pushed for with DD!!
Told ya you could do it, I knew you would this time
And your feelings of having a boy were wrong, you got a girl!!
