Sorry I havent been on, but have had so much going on, and havent been overly well since Chloe's birth, as well as having no internet.
I want to thank everyone for their congratulations on Chloe's arrival. She is just gorgeous, Im so in love with my newest little princess. She did have a bit of a rough start being in NICU for approx 4days. due to low sugar levels 28mins after her arrival, then not being able to suck and needing tube feeds. Yet they kept her a little longer due to me not being able to tend to her.
I am having trouble with BF as she is soooo used to being bottle fed, so I am very disappointed that it hasnt been as smooth sailing with the BFing. Will be going to the Dr's today to get some meds to help with my milk supply so hopefully that will help.
Still getting loads of headaches and some backpain so will be looking forward to the day I am headache free. I am also so very emotional and feel like crying over the slightest thing. Dh reminds me I was like that with little v.
Had some terrible stomach pains on Saturday (from the inside) and not long after I mentioned to Dh that I had these pains I passed a huge Blood clot approx 10-15cm long. Then bled heavier than normal. Spoke to the hospital that suggested go to the GP, or into emergency, or even just monitor it myself. i chose to monitor it, in fear of being admitted to hospital again. lol.
I think what got to me was the stabbing pains then the huge blood clot, I had never esperienced that before after all of my pgcy's. So here I am still keeping a close eye.
As for Chloe, she will be 3wks tomorrow, and was weighed by the pead last friday (as the pead mentioned to us she will be one of his frequent flyers) and was 2290gms. He has mentioned if she hasnt hit her BW come Friday then he is looking at putting her on tube feeds. I am not too concerned atm, as I am sure she will hit her BW by then. When little Chloe was in hospital, they had done some chromosome tests which all came back clear. Not sure about the karyotypes results. They also did a kidney u/s, which was fine, and also a brain scan. The brain scan came up with an echogenic focus, which they believe to be nothing to worry about. The pead said to me they believe it may be an old heamorrage from birth, but he doesnt believe that as when the scan was done she was only 3days old. He wants to do another one soon to see if it has resolved. She failed her right ear testing and is to go to the childrens hospital for further testing. Praying it all turns out ok with her hearing. She also has had a cough and a croaky husky voice since her birth, which the pead is going to monitor and if it doesnt seem to improve he is going to refer her for more testing. FX that improves too. She is such a cute little thing and loves her cuddles, which in a way can become very time consuming. lol.
So there we have it my update, hopefully I get a chance to write my birth story soon.
Thankyou so much georgie for being a wonderful PIG once again hun and updating everyone. Your the best hun. hugs
I missed this thread because our little guy decided to come 4 weeks early on 12 December, so I haven't been on bellybelly much other than to ask questions...I'm finally catching up on things. I hope your little one is doing well - we had some of the issues you did with our little guy so I know how hard certain things can be. I hope you are feeling well yourself too.
Hi Julie, Congratualtions on the safe arrival of your little man. Im sorry you too have had some difficulties similar to ours. I hope all is going well for you now. How big was he born? Are you going to do a Birth story? Thankyou too. hugs
Katones - Thankyou, Hope all is going well for you and all the best for a soon to be BFP. hugs
Well Chloe is doing really well, she now weighs at 6wks 2.92kgs 47cm long and 35cm hc. She is now heavier than what little V was at this age. So thats great. She had her hearing tested again, and all looks well, but some of the testing couldnt be done due to her ears being small. She has fluid in her left ear but unable to tell with the right ear just yet. She has to go back in 3ths then again when she is 10mths old with little V. (they wanted to check V's ears too.) No other testing has been done yet, so will keep you updated when that happens. hugs all.
Thanks Beema, Im so relieve she is doing well. I wish little V would gain better she is still only 8.3kg and that dressed. Feels like a never ending battle with her. Gee hasnt time flown sonce you have had Anastasia. Your doing a wonderful job too hun. hugs
