Thank you all for your lovely posts. The birth was everything that i wanted, i felt safe, respected, i had the right people there. My baby boy knew the right position to be in when he entered the world. I breathed him out, into my arms and out of the water.

I have received so much support from women on BB, especially after the birth of my daughter, and in working through that birth and my preparation for birthing my son my way, safely at home. That energy supported me, and i will be forever grateful.

    Yup, goosebumps from me too!

You did so well in your preparation and got the birth you wanted because of that.

    Home birth rocks!
I don't know if it was the same for you guys but I found that the path to my second birth was the challenge. The birth itself was a breeze (even if physically demanding) as I felt such a freedom with the safety and security I felt from the supportive people by my side and the familiar walls of my home enveloping me. Most of all, I felt the freedom of letting go of all of the issues surrounding birth and really enjoyed it.

HotI, in sharing your story and your journey with BB, you have undoubtedly inspired many many people. I just love the way there are so many people here who are justifiably thrilled for you. I really admire the way you have put a lot of yourself out there on what has been a tumultuous journey to becoming a parent. You have done yourself proud and should be basking in the glow of that and your family now with a great big cheshire grin!

(And just think of what an awesome role model you have been for your children! Your kids may be too young to really get it now, but you stood up, got angry, got practical and worked out how to make birth work for you. I can't think of a better message to give my daughters and it is one of the things I am most proud of after my second birth)

    Congratulations!
