Thanks Ladies, my little man and I are home from hospital and finally got to my own bed last night!!
Everything went really well and I still can't believe that I have had a baby
He is soooooooooooooooo cute and looks so much like his daddy sleep for me is in the past and don?t think I have had a decent amount since last Wednesday.
Really strange to think that this time last week Aaron was in my belly and I was so scared about the induction.
Here is a bit of a time line since then. I am sure to miss out bits as my mind is still a blur.....
20th May Go to hospital so start induction.
Got there around 8.30pm and gel on board around 10ish
Some contractions started
21st May Gel again around 6am
8am check not much happening
OB decided that this was not working and basically a failed induction which scared the crap out of me as the thought of a cs was taking hold of my mind.
That night saw OB who wanted to try again.
9ish Gel again (fingers crossed third time lucky)
Well by 1.30am the doors of hell opened and it was strong
2.30am only 1.5cm and in heapsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss of pain!!!!!
Decided on a epi as I hadn't had any sleep from the night before and was liking on nothing.
Must say that the man who did the epi is a GOD!!
During this time rang DH and told him things are happening but not to rush as epi may take a while. He rang me back and said he was on the way which I was so happy for.
3.00am I am in heaven the epi was doing its job really well (love the epi man!!)
8.00am 3cm
10.00am contractions felt like they were in my but!!
Got checked and I was already 9cm!!!....PANIC STATION!!!
Rang parents and told them
Midwife said we will have the baby within the next hour....PANIC STATION AGAIN!!!
Started pushing at around 10.45 and what a strange feeling that is to push when you can't feel anything!!
11.00am OB arrives
11.08am my little man Aaron meets his mummy and daddy.
This was the best outcome for birth I could have ever imagined.
After a bumpy start we finally got to meet our little man.
As far as Aaron health goes we had some issues feeding and he had to go to special care for a few days and has lost a little weight but I am sure we will put that back on.
There is so much more I can say about my little man but words cannot describe how much I love him and all those thoughts of not ever having a baby will never be forgotten but it is so sweet to finally be a family.
