23rd December - Asher Lachlan is finally here...

and I just want to say how proud I am of my little sister.... she laboured so well with a tough posterior labour and a huge urge to push that was so overwhelming when she was so close to full dilation, however pushing on the cervix was a bit to much for little Ashie and he had to come out. No drugs until she had to be wheeled off for her c/s which she took all in her stride and an almost mess of a sister who went in with her (cos the mess of the mother was waiting outside lol). I am soooo, soooo proud of her - she did the hard yards and she was amazing. I know she could have done it like a piece of cake if Ashie was in the right possie, so she is a star in my eyes for giving it her all and then accepting what was needed, not the way she wanted but the safest thing for her and her baby... I tell ya, she will kill me but she really blew me away with her determination and strength, it was amazing to watch my little sister take this on by the horns.... she's not as passionate or staunch as myself with regards to birth issues and options, but she wanted the best thing and did a brilliant job coping through that tough labour.

I'll pop some images in my gallery in a tic but for now she's in hospital for 5 days recovering But she is so amazing, she gave it her very best and I am SO PROUD!!! And fancy Asher making it by one minute on the 23rd - 11.59pm so he could share uncle Craig's birthday.

Oh Kelly I am so proud of you all! You are all amazing. I know she was in good hands. She is truly blessed to have you as her sister, what an amazing birth.

Loz you are a birthing legend What an amazing birth, I hope you enjoy your extra special christmas pressie this year, I can't wait to meet Asher. And getting to share uncle Craig's birthday too! Woweee
