    24/05/13 Finally arrived!

A bit late posting (been very hectic few wks!)!!

Our beautiful DD2 finally came into the world 2 weeks ago, cross your legs girls.... at 10.2pds, 52cm!!!! I had been saying the whole preg to midwives I was concerned bub was going to be big, boy was I right! At 41wks + 5days I was induced as bub not budging! Unfortunately ended up emergency CS, bubs heart rate dropped several times & midwives & docs were concerned. Turned out the cord was also around her neck. Very happy shes here, happy & healthy & all went well in the end. I had no idea a CS was sooooo painful though :-( so any tips on how to possibly heal faster greatly appreciated....bored & feeling useless!

First of all, MASSIVE congratulations! Welcome baby girl

Sorry to hear your birth didn't go the way you'd planned, I hope you get some closure on all that (if it hasn't come already!)

No real tips on healing, just common sense kind of stuff like make sure it's not jostled around too much, keep it dry, etc. I'm sure there will be other people along soon to helpyou out there

    Congratulations! What a big girl!
RE: the c/s take it easy. Your body will let you know when you've done too much during a day, i.e., more bleeding and pain. I found the afternoons were more sore, after running around the older kids. Ask family and friends to bring meals (much more useful than stuffed toys) and tell people/partner how you're feeling if you're in pain, b/c i think when you're up and dressed and walking about, people often think that you're back to normal and I found that after each c/s, I was pretty tender and sore for the first few months.

    Enjoy your newborn snuggles

Rest is the best thing for healing. Eat decent food and rest.
