I'm sure Georgi will log on when she gets time soon but she did text me yesterday morning when i texted her and she said that she is being discharged from the hospital today (that was yesterday) and going into a hotel room in the city (Brisbane) for a few nights until little Byron is transferred to Pindara.

All is going really well for both of them I believe.

Keep up the great work Georgi xo

    Hi girls,
Another quickie from me. We are doing great. Byron was transferred to Pindara Hospital last night so I am finally home. I'm going to the hospital twice a day to bathe & try a breast feed. My milk has come in in abundance so there is definately no shortage. I saw a lactation consultant as I had an over supply, but it's all going good now. Byron sometimes has a good suckle, other times he's more interested in sleeping. He lost 90grams in the first 4 days but had put on 17g at his last weigh in. The docs are saying he's perfect & going great guns for his gestation. He'll still be in hospital for at least another 3 weeks yet.

DH & I are just in awe of him. His beautiful. I promise i'll up load some pics real soon

    Pics are uploaded

    Hi everyone,

I have uploaded some pics of our beautiful boy, in my gallery.

Unfortunately I'm not well. I developed mastitis overnight, in my right breast, & have a fever of 38.7 I am back on the antibiotics & are expressing the right breast every 3 hours again. I've had an oversupply of milk & changed from pumping both breasts to alternating the breasts every 3 hours. The nurses think that's what has caused it. It is horrific. I would never have thought I could feel so bad.

On a good note, Byron had another great feed off my good breast today. So it won't be long before he's taking 2 feeds a day off the breast. We'll then try to get him to take every 2nd feed off the breast & slowly build it up from there. He put on 40g at his weigh in this morning so he's doing fab.

oh Mastitis is horrible. I had it the other week.. I hope it clears up very quickly

I also got mastitis when I was expressing for my son (isaac) when he was in the SCN. Well it was when he came home because I went from expressing every 3-4 hour to no expressing and just trying to feed him ..

And what a gorgeous little man you have!! He is so sweet!!!
