Awww ... it's so lovely to come home from hospital to read such beautiful words from everyone!
We are so proud of our beautiful man Jambin Eli.
I will get around to writing a birth story shortly, but in a nutshell, my waters broke at 1am Monday morning. We negotiated with the hospital a longer than usual wait time (2.5 days) before agreeing to an induction on Wednesday morning. The syntocinon was up to higher than average levels before it managed to produce any contractions at all, and after 5 hrs, I was still not effaced or dilated, so our beautiful little boy came into the world via c-section.
We've had a little hiccup at the hospital however - I have pulled an internal stitch, which has gone through my muscle tissue and is sitting on a nerve. I can't walk at the moment, or place any weight on my right leg without excruciating pain, but I was desperate to come home ... so we finally made it home today with morphine for pain relief, a wheelchair, and an toilet/shower chair. It looks like Gareth will be doing most of the nappy changing, at least at this stage and I will be the milk-bar
