Congratulations, Janie. I'm so happy to hear that your little man has arrived safely.

I hope that the time until he comes home in your arms is not too long, and that you recover well.

    Welcome, little Daniel!

Thank you so much everyone! We are ecstatic, over the moon! Our little Daniel is such a fighter, he is doing so well . We are so proud of him. He is tolerating his tube feeds really well, which is fantastic as he really needs fattening up lol. Not a single fat roll on him atm! I have been expressing small amounts of colostrum, and we are very lucky and blessed to have a wonderful friend donating her beautiful ebm. The gratitude i feel towards her and her daughter is immense, they are helping our boy get the best start he possibly can. I can't wait to be able to go and see him whenever i want, and to have lots of cuddles! Very much looking forward to morning DH is doing a wonderful job as milk runner though, and keeping me up to date. Obviously things will be hectic, but we will update when we can. Thanks again for your well-wishes

Thanks Spring, yes she is VERY special! One thing i wanted to share, but forgot in my last post.....i got to see and touch Daniel briefly after he was born, then they took him off to be checked and for a bit of oxygen and cpap. Once he was stable the paed brought him over and i got to have a big cuddle for at least 5 minutes! He had been crying on and off, but once he was with me he just settled right in and didn't squirm or anything! He knew he was with his mummy, it was so beautiful. (And yes, i'm going to cry again now lol).

Aw, Janie! That's wonderful! I'm crying with you talking about the cuddle you got to have before he went off to SCU! How special, and yes, he knows his Mum

So wonderful to have your special friend donating EBM - what an amazing gift to give.

Hoping that there are many more special cuddles and moments like that all leading up to having your little man at home.
