Macy Pea**** has arrived!

Hello Everyone!

I gave birth to a little girl called Macy Pea**** on the 23rd April 2006. She is now 11 weeks old. (Sorry I have been a bit slack about putting up a post, I am very impressed with mothers who can post the same day!) I could just about time find time to eat!

She was 3.2kg and 48cm at birth. She is now 5.2kg and 61cm, so the breast feeding was worth all that hard work. ( and they say it is a natural thing??)

While pregnant I got the idea of making a time capsule for Macy from the day she was born. Collecting information from her special date. Things like news stories, fashion, snippets, movie reviews ect. I was born in September 1975 and would love to be able to read headlines from that day, and see what cloths people were wearing and what the headlines were.

What I ended up doing was taking pictures from lots of different web pages and putting them on a CD for her. I have kept it, so when she is older she can have a look/ laugh at what we were wearing and what music we were listening to.

Anyway I have collected data (each day) from 1st June so if you have had a baby since then and would like a copy for your little one let me know and ill send you a CD. I would love to see if any other new mums like what I have done!

Congratulation on the arrival of Macy! What you are doing is great. I've done a time capsule for Mackenzie which included the newspaper from the day she was born which is great as it was a Saturday so it had all the house prices, along with the movies etc in it. I also made a CD when she turned one of all my favourite photos of her over the 12 months (and there where a lot) and a video of her first birthday party. I still add to the box with things like her first painting, her first concert tickets (wiggles) and things like that. Well done, love the music CD idea.

Nixon was born not long before Macy, if you have anything on cd from the month of April I'd be interested. Its a great idea and although ive kept record of prices of movie tix/petrol/postage stamp etc I wish i had of collected a newspaper and more.

I can send you the earliest Cd I have for you to look at, it will not be date specific though. It should be good enough to give Nixon an idea of what life is/was like in 2006.

Its really cool, it has TV adverts on it, also movie trailers, news hadlines, and a celebrity gossip page, AFL, NRL sport ladders ect. i am sure Nixon will love it when older!!
