Thanks so much everyone We have been having a sweet time just being at home
We're now having 'discussions' about spelling - DP wants to drop the 'h', but I've only ever had it in my head with the 'h' at the end - it just seems more balanced that way and 'finished'. I WILL win this one!!
'Tallarah' is Australian Aboriginal for 'rain' - just not certain where in Australia, but after the weather patterns in the last few years and the rain we've had in just one week, it seemed appropriate. 'Grace' is for DP's great aunt, who is dying of cancer, and his grandad passed away last year, so it's a nice tribute to his mum's side of the family (DS's middle name is in honour of DP's dad's side).
The dialogue about spelling continues, but the Birth Story is posted
Congratulations hun on the arrival earthside of your wee girl. She has a gorgeous name. The 15th has a special place in my heart - my first daughter was born on that day too.
I wish everyday that Kailaia had a H as it doesnt look finished the way it is Kailaiah looks so much better... so if you do drop it you too will always think it looks unfinished...
Tallarah is such a beautiful name dont change it to Tallara....
Get DP too read this and I will tell him that is wrong to lose the H....
Congratulations Mayaness and welcome Tallarah Grace! The name could originate from up here in QLD as there are a lot of things around my area (Sunny coast) named after variations of Tallara
