    DS1 23 hours labour, 3 days early, 7lb 10oz
DS2 (waters broke, induced as merconium in my waters) 3.5 hours, 1 week early, 7lb 3.5oz
#3 i am not too sure what to expect, will i go early again? The difference in time if i don't have to be induced? Will i go smaller again?

    DS - 9 Days overdue - Induced - 9 hours labour - 3.5kg
    DD - 2 Days early - Induced because of GD - 5 hours labour - 3.1kg

Second labour was much easier than the first. First induction got to synto drip stage, second only induced by gel. 55 Mins of pushing with the first and 12 mins of pushing with the second. I just knew what to do!!!

Brother 1: About an hour , 6 weeks early, got FAT reeeeeally quick for a premmie
Brother 2: 3 hours (ish), 11 days early, teeny tiny little bugger (he's still tiny and we tease him for it )

    DS1 - 39w4d, approx 7hr labour, 2.9kg (6lb7oz)
    Ds2 - 39w6d, approx 7hr labour, 3.6kg (8lb)
For me, both births (spontaneous without induction throughout) were of the same intensity - a slow but consistent and easily managed build up, then a little hard yakka for the final 1-2 hours. I was a "practising hypnobirther" which helped me stay focused and relaxed. Pushed for less than 30 mins with both births. Had accupuncture with both pregnancies too, which I'm convinced helped me birth easily and efficiently.

Well, My son was 17hours labour, he was posterior so the pain was in my back .. And I dilated fully but ended up with a csection. I went through every type of pain relief. He was 7lb 7oz, 52cm long & 33.5cm head circumference.

My daughter, was 3 hours of labour, no pain relief and had only 5 minutes of pushing! I got a few tears (perineal, labial & paraurethral.) And stitches. And she was 7lb 4oz, 51cm and 33 head circumference.

Soooo, my 2nd labour was definately much easier, earlier and she was smaller .. .. Thanx everyone for replying

So interesting to read everyone's stats.

My DD was born at 39+5 and I have now just reached my EDD for number 2. So second will be later for me - which it looks like is more common than I thought!

Feel quite relieved by this... thought I was a bit of an anomaly

My first was an augmented vaginal birth @ 37 weeks - 7 hours, baby weighed 2.8kg

    Second was a homebirth @ 40w + 4d - 4 hours, baby weighed 3.2kg

And just for comparison, third was also a homebirth on my due date - 3 hours, baby weighed 3.3kg

So my labours have gotten quicker, babies bigger.
