Birth Photography Pic of the Year Contest

I came across a website that is entirely devoted to birth photography, and they are currently having a contest to vote for the best pic of 2011. There is a variety of pics there - labour, c-section, hospital, home, water, breast feeding, etc. All beautiful in their own way, and capturing the intense emotion of the whole birth experience.
The link for the contest is here, if you want to vote, or just get your fill of beautiful newborn babies and mamas. (Or, if the link must be removed, google "birth photographers". It came up as the second hit on my search.)
    Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing Cricket! Makes me so thankful for my second birth, the photo of the masked man holding a screaming baby above a curtain reminds me of how I met DD1 and the mum in the water holding her baby with an expression of utter joy is how I met DD2.

I'm lucky enough to have lots of photos from both my births, but you can guess which are my favorite!

I love the one with mum on the couch, with dad holding baby behind her, still attached to the cord

Number 15 is my fave, but i love the story behind it, how defence dad's line reconnected, literally as bub was born and he was on the line for bub's first cry.
    So sweet.

Lovely shots - I knew the story behind number 15 (there was a link to it on here at some point) and that does make it more special - makes me wish knew some of the stories behind the other photos.
