    Cervix Pain/Pressure

For most of the morining I have been getting very painful pressure type feelings in/on my cervix which comes and goes as the baby moves. I don't think it's labour, but I am in a fair amount of pain , so much so that I need to stop what I'm doing and breathe through it. It almost feels like baby is trying to come out without the cervix being dialated. I am also getting a constant lower back ache from all the pressure and pain.

Has anyone experienced this, or know what this is ? I'm really struggling .

Could be pre labour maybe? I'd ring your midwife just to feel better...
    Good luck Pink!!

Sorry to drag up an old topic, but what was the outcome of this PinkLilly? or has anyone else experienced this? I'm 41 weeks and having this pain, it does stop me doing whatever I am and also had me in tears last night. Baby is not engaged.

Yep i get this all the time aswell. The last few days bub has been head butting me in the cervix constantly. I reckon it feel like someone is jabbing a knife up there and twisting it... not a very nice feeling Bub is fully engaged and ready to come though so that probably has something to do with it.

Yip baby is engaged and ready to go
I spoke to my middy about it she told me it sounds like bub is pressing against my cervix. And its nothing to worry about.

Well ladies, that pain I was feeling was indeed DD putting alot of pressure on my cervix. Unfortunately it doesn't mean that you are going into labour as I was induced 9 days over, and had DD on 29th July.

Though saying that, I was already 2cm dialated the night before I was induced, so all that pain was doing something!

Good luck and hopefully your little bundles of joy come soon
