Yep, I made an 8 hour playlist which went onto a little portable mp3/hard-disk system that we have. It was predominately downbeat/chill electronica and dub and started with beats then progressed through dub to minimalist soundscapes (if you want to know specific artists I can tell you, but most would be considered obscure by commercial standards). After Euan was born we put the player under his rocker. And we still listen to it in the car from time to time.

I had the midwives put on some soothing music while I was in labour both times. I have no idea what it was, Enya perhaps (or something like it - it was one of the hospitals cd's). I really enjoyed it, took my mind off it.

I was going to have my hypnobirthing CD on but everything happened so quickly and I liked the radio music they had on that I just left it at that and don't even remember what was on to be honest...lol. Mind you he was born 45 mins after getting to hospital.

Had nothing Anna! Didn't even think of it, just wanted baby OUT! However, always played music in utero....in particular "Baby Mine" by Bette Midler. DD loved it and still does!
