Question Do u think pets know???

Oscar has been absolutely GLUED to me since Sunday....

The last couple of week's he was a bit funny but now I can't even close the door when i go to the toilet because he starts to squeak and carry on and he has to be beside me at all times.... he much prefers to be touching me in some way....

he normally does his own thing all day and just comes and see's what I am up to every now and again but now I am literally tripping over him.

he won't even eat his food unless I am there with him....

Do you think that bubs is going to come soon and he knows or am i reading too much into it???

I do think they know... about it all!!

My cat when I fell pregnant (and before I found out myself) would not leave me alone and would jump on my lap as soon as I sat down. He got over it eventually, but didn't have the end of pregnancy thing like you do.

Funny that becuase my cat much prefers my husband since I got pregnant (even though she has always ben very much 'my' cat if you know what I mean) and my dog has become more calm and gentle around me since.

Interesting! I think you could be on to something Dee! Ooooh.

My cat hasn't been too weird... but I have heard many stories about dogs especially becoming very clingy and protective!

    How exciting.

Yes I think cats know something. My cats used to both sit with me while I was reallly big and would "hit" my tummy when DD kicked. One time I had a big kick and whichever cat it was sitting on my belly at the time got such a fright and jumped off. They were both very sookie as my due date approached.

I read a story about a cat in a retirement home, who, everytime a resident was close to passing, would take up residence on the end of their bed until they died. So yes cats definitely do sense stuff I reckon.

BTW not saying you're going to cark it!

Our dog kept sniffing my big belly in the last couple of days before I went into labour with DS#2, he must have known something was up!

I didn't have pets living with me at the time, but when things started with DD2, DD1 was quite clingy and sooky all day, so I figure if kids know instinctually then surely pets will.

I absolutely think they know! Your scent changes... hormones etc and they have very sensitive smell. Sounds exciting Dee!
