Today I'm 40+2. Yesterday from the moment I woke I've been having very regular Braxton Hicks. Yesterday they were 6 minutes apart but not painful. I'm pretty sure they happened all through the night but I was able to sleep, only waking up a few times when the BHs made me need to go to the toilet. There were still there when I woke up in the morning and have been about 10 minutes apart since then (give or take a minute or two).
Has anyone had a similar experience? Did it turn out to be pre labour? Or did they go away?
You could be in the early stages of labour, they might start getting more regular, they might continue on for days, or stop altogether. Every labour is different, so its impossible to say hun. Rest up while you can, sounds like your bub will be here soon. If your a little worried, maybe call your hospital and get checked by a MW, they will be a better judge than anyone. Except yourself of course.
Good luck! FX it is early labour and your little girl is here with you soon. Considering you wrote that last night, she might be here already. Keep us posted
I would think only by personal experience that it isn't prelabour only because my prelabour was painful contractions but weren't overly regular but would stick around 7 - 10 minutes and i certainly couldn't sleep.
Thanks for the replies.
Well, turns out cervix opened 2-3 cms over those couple of days! So looks like it was prelabour. Doctor says labour will happen very soon. I've been having painful contractions every 20 minutes since my appointment a couple of hours ago!
My second labour started with 24 hours of regular, non-painful BH that all of a sudden became uncomfortable. And it was my best labour by far, with a lovely gentle start Happy birthing!
