Far out! It looked like she was sooo rough, but I guess she is programmed to know what to do if this ever happened. I tell you what though, I thought there was an awful lot of muck come out when you have a human baby but that takes the cake ROFL.

awww how beautiful, i must say i was getting worried for awhile there, hw special and beautiful, she new exactly what she was doing

That was absolutely amazing!, i adore elephants i adore everything about them and that was my first viewing of a birth of a baby elephant, i was so emotional watching that, she looked like she was in pain and when the baby didnt move i was saying to it "move, please move.." and i got the biggest smile on my face when it started to breathe, the mother knew exactly what to do and she did an amazing job. And the way she coaxed it to get up was beautiful, she seemed a bit frustrated but i guess us mothers get a bit like that when we teach our little ones to walk.
