Hi, I had an emergency C-sect. with my first as she was born at 31 wks as a result of a grade 3 placenta previa. I wanted to have a VBAC for my 2nd (12mths & 5 wks) after as I believe there is a risk in having C-sect. However, I guess there is also risk in having VBAC so you need to weigh it up! For me my 2nd didn't go to plan my water's broke at 6am but I didn't go into labour. I went to the hsp at 8am and the midwives decided to induce me. Well the long and short of it is that after 13.5 hours of labouring on my back because I was so heavily monitored, they tried to give me an epidural. It only worked on 1 side and then they tried again, again only 1 side. By this time he was in distress. They stopped the induction drip and my labour basically stopped. So I had to have a general and he was born not breathing and had to be revived and go into NICU for 24 hrs and I woke horrible and yer, it was less than perfect. However, I do still hope to VBA2C.
