I think she's freaked out totally -When I suggested having a look at the UK one online in comparison she replied 'no way she was never watching anything like that ever again'.

Poor thing, how far along was she? Maybe suggest that she read birth stories first and then watch videos - I have always been a little squeamish, but after reading some birth stories I was okay seeing birth videos... and even used the mirror whilst birthing DD!
I haven't seen the US one. I find the UK partners horrifying - one guy late last year was humming along to his video game while his wife was contracting - you know where I would have shoved that console...?

Oh dear! She definitely needs to get into a positive headspace - Business of Being Born is great.
