Some OBs routinely test for GBS and others dont bother.
You can get a +ve result one week, and a -ve result the next - or the other way around.
Some hopitals monitor for warning signs of it in labour instead of testing for it.
There is some good info here On "tests for uncomplicated pregnancies - towards the end in the thrid trimester section is info on the two main ways that group B strep is handled.
