I've been told that if there are no complications I can leave within 6 hours. Obviously it depends on the time of day too, if I have bubs at 10pm I'm not about to pack up at leave at 4am. But I'd prefer not to stay long as I'd rather be at home. I sleep badly away from home and if I'm only getting limited sleep I'd prefer it to be in my own bed.

I'm going through Group Midwife Practice and have my own midwife who will come and visit 5 times in the first 10 days regardless of how long I stay which I think will be more useful to me than hanging around the hospital.
