I think I am in labour

Although it wont be out tonight, especially since it is already 12.30am

I am having contractions. Timing them on the contraction master. Great pc program. They are between 5-15 min and lasting 1-2min. Every second or third cx is very painful. Although I know from last time I could still be here tomorrow and be a long day but hopefully have a baby in the next 24hrs.

I have a tens machine but dh is asleep atm so not sure when to wake him to put it on. Am coping with pain atm so maybe I wait a little longer.

Now I need to try and get some sleep between the pain before "the Big Event"

Thanks for the encouragement so quickly. I hope also that it will only be 24hrs or less. Especially being #4. It is my second non induced labour. #1&2 were induced ~ 6hrs length. #3 labour started like this but went on for 30hrs before ob helped a little with breaking waters and stretching cervix while I was under a contraction and gas. Hope that does not happen again.

Thanks again......Just eating some picklets for energy food. Very hungry.

Just got up and cx still going. Just had another one since posting in our thread. You are a champ at cheering vic. I hope I can be as encouraging as you at nightly feeds. I don't think I am going to let dh go to work this morning. Will need him for extra help with the other three ch if this keeps up or even get to the hospital.

Still going. Dropped back to 20 min apart but very uncomfortable. DH woke with his alarm @ 5am and the plan is to stay home reset alarm 7am (for him) and we will drop children off at various places this morning and hopefully we will have a bubs by this evening. Thats the plan anyway. Thanks for everyones well wishes. I hope I don't disappoint anyone.

    I am sooooo tired.

Ooooo you should have gotten some sleep, you'll be wrecked. Why don't you go to bed now? You have a long way to go @ 20 mins apart, staying awake is like sprinting the first kilometre in a marathon.

I do hope you managed to get some rest. Even when I was in full blown labour with Emily, constractions coming every 2 min, in between contractions I would sit on the chair and close my eyes in the hope of going to sleep!
Good luck with everything, can't wait to see the birth announcement.

Still here and contractions are still irregular (between 5 min and 20min) Still painful, hopefully they are doing something. Layed down at 9.30 and slept for an hour straight then got ctx 20 mins appart. I eventually got up at 11.30 to feed the girls.

Any suggestions on how to get these regulated and the show on the road.

    I need to be patient

Rose, you could try some nipple stimulation to get them happening a little bit more ? Not sure if your feeling up to it, but it can't do any harm.

Remember that your body is doing exactly as it needs to do. Try to get some rest, hard I know. Your going to need your energy.

Rose, your body is doing what it needs to Try and have a really good rest if you can, pop some panadol and lie down. After that, if you're up to it, maybe a bit of a walk? NOT a big long one, just something to keep things moving along.

You're going to do great hun!
