If you had RPOC and a subsequent infection...

Scan was okay but gross with the bleeding. So I guess I'll call in a few days to get the results.

I'm really really worried about my milk being affected and losing it. Or DD2's gut being compromised by the antibiotics. Ugh ugh ugh.
I was on Augmenten but you will no doubt also need the Flagyl. it is a really nasty AB but is the one that the GP and hospital insisted on for me for the RPOC. it is NASTY. but it does the trick.

Soooo, your question re the BF and milk. DD2 will no doubt struggle with some digestive issues and irritability. we put DD3 on babybiotic (a fingertip before each feed). i also got myself high quality probiotic for myself and did double doses and am continuing that now and will do so for at least 3 months.

I didnt notice any reduction of milk supply...but i am jersey cow in the lactation department.

I HIGHLY recommend buying "Iberoglast" for DD2. it is a super wonderful product that helps restore gut flora and get her digestion back on track and really really soothes a sore belly. This has been our lifesaver and provides some comfort re: the gut flora impact.
I was psycho about nipple thrush fears and spent alot of time airing them I also had daktarin on hand and everytime i felt a slight itch i would dab it on.

Eat loads of good quality plain yoghurt! that will help with any oral thrush that might transfer.

I havent needed a D&C but came mighty close. It's a real PITA and there were moments where I just wanted it over and wanted the D&C. I set myself a time limit and AB maximum. I decided that if it hadnt resolved after 10 weeks and/or after the second round of ABs that it would be a D&C (not as easy to do...for example the womens here will not want anything to do with you if your RPOC is under 50mm...urgh).
