I know of someone who had a social induction (the type you are desribing) for childcare reasons, and given your valid reasons for asking I am sure you could find a sympathetic GP.

However a small word of warning, inductions when bub is not ready are often more difficult (painful) on your body and on your baby. Also they can take a couple of days to get going which may not help you with your childcare. I would suggest you might be best to discuss the options with a sympathetic obstetrician and come to a decision that way. Remember do not be afraid to ask for help from friends, although I do appreciate this can be difficult when your children have special needs.
