was in labour but now im not :(

ok so yesturday arvo/ night i was in labour one early stages but still labour, contractions 5 min apart, went to hossy and they were showing up nice on teh ctg and then slowed off, i think this was because i was laying down as when i stood up and started pacing they were getting stronger again.
they were only reaching 50-60 on teh machine so i knew it was only early.

after my S&S on monday i have been having niggles so wasnt supprised by this development.

well i kept pacing and at 11:30 and no progression the midwife gave me some panadol as my back was just in agony and aching really bad, and some sleeping tablets to help me rest up.

well when i woke up 5 hours later its all stopped, so i decided to head home.

now im home i am continuing to paint teh house, it needs doing cant have half a house outside painted lol and they are not coming back, just this bloody back ache
i did have an internal before i left anf my cervix is now posterior it was anterior and soft on monday..

will this baby ever come out.. i know im only due today by my last scan, and my original EDD from LMP is 25th but come on i have had 3 days now of on again off again pains.

well because i live so far from the hossy i was all ready to go there after 4 hours of contrax and after 6 hours they stopped this was 3 days before i went into labour properly so i'd say shes coming very soon

    Hi Kawazuki
It must be so annoying when this happens. Try not to look at it from the point of view that your labour has stopped try to look at from the point of view that your body has just told you that labour is going to start very soon.
After reading your post I would not be surprised to hear about your birth on Christmas Day.

I had a lot of prelabour so I totally empathise with you! DH even had his MIL come over we were so sure it was time. I didn't get to the hospital though but DH was keen to drag me there. I talked him into letting me have a nap and we woke up in the morning

Hang in there chick! It's bringing you closer to meeting your bub and hopefully when the real show gets started it will be quicker for you

It won't be long. Keep moving, but don't over do it.

    How frustrating for you.

You know the great thing though, the more work your body does gently now, the less work you'll have to do when in established labour.

I hope your little girl decides to make her appearance soon.

    thanx everyone.
just frustrated. and to top it off our fridge wont eb here till mid jan at the earliest see punching bag thread..

oh and its raining on the house i just painted lol typical..

i knwo its all working wonders at preparing my body, but its annoying when you feel your getting close and being positive, i never had a natural labour with DD i was induced so i dont know how its goings to go and DD was a very fast labour once i dilated from 0-1 cm i went from 1-10 in 3 hours and she was out 20 min later so just scared im not going to make it to the hospital in time lol

Oh I so feel for you. I had this 3 times before actual labour and always at night, I'd be awake for hours cause the pain was strong enough to not let me sleep. Get to 5mins I'd tell Df to call in work and call my mum and then it would stop.
I was so upset at one pont I rang the midwives and cried my eyes out over the phone I was just so fed up and upset.
Hopefully next time will be the real deal for you. Just keep telling yourself it will happen!

Sounds like prelabour to me ... I had this with my last baby and when labour did start, I was 9cm dilated in 40 mins. It's just your body getting everything ready and may make things a bit quicker for you this time.

Good luck and will be on the look out for your BA. Sending you lots of labour vibes

This is very frustrating indeed. I agree with Alan . Try taking yourself off to a quiet place and do some visualisation/meditation. I find once I am grounded that things start for me. Goodluck hun
