My friend has has a show

I have just received a message my my best friend saying she has just had a show, this is her first bub and as she has tested positive to the strep b and was told she will need to have antibiotics as soon as things start happening but she has just phoned the hospital and they said it could be anytime now but didnt tell her to come in at this stage ..... is that normal? Do they mean when she is in active labour they need to start the antibiotics?

How long after you had your show did you have your little bubba in your arms? I am so excited for her...said to my hubby this morning that i have a feeling she will have her baby before today is out oh i am sooooooo excited.

Goodluck Em, i wish you all the very best for the birth of your first little one ...i hope everything goes well and i cant wait to come and visit you early next month. xoxoxox

with my 2 i never had a show the plug came away with my waters both times but i have heard losing the plug can happen an hour or even weeks before things officially kick off.
maybe she should ring the birthing suites at the hospital and explain the strep thing and when exactly does she need to come in

Thanks for the replies, she phoned the hospital and they said she is ok to stay home for now but as soon as the waters break she needs to go in. She has been having pians for two days now but as yet nothing more has eventuated....i dont think it will be much longer though.
