Need Cairns Mothers wanting to change our Maternity System

I spoke to Wendy Richardson who is my local member for LNP yesterday and she has informed me that Mark McArdle, our Shadow Health
Minister will be in Cairns on the 4th of February and we could discuss with him hopfully a couple of issues

1: our desperate need for a birth centre
2: to be able to have a medicare rebate for Independant midwives for homebirths.

She wants me to get names of women/mothers/families that would be interested in meeting up with her before the 4th of Feb and on the 4th of Feb to see if we can change our maternity system and bring all our concerns to her and our Shadow Health Minister.

If there is anyone who is interested please send me a pm and as soon as I have all the details of the meeting I will forward this information to you.

I was also thinking for any mother in Qld who would like to see Government funded homebirths please send me a pm and I will give you an email address so that I can pass your opinion on to see if we could get this set up as well.
